Our Achievements

At The Latimer Arts College we believe in encouraging students to aspire for the highest possible academic achievement.  We believe in the value of examinations as the ‘passport’ for accessing higher education or training and a wider choice of careers and we are immensely proud that we are delivering on our promise to deliver success to our students year after year.

GCSE Results 2020

Schools are judged on a Progress 8 measure, which reflects how much progress students make during their time at a secondary school.

In 2020 examinations were replaced by Centre Assessed Grades.  The results achieved by our students were in line with our previous set of results, meaning that students would have achieved above national progress for these subjects.

Because of the difficulties with examinations in 2020 we have detailed below our most recent examination results.

In 2019 students at The Latimer Arts College made above expected progress, with our results putting us in the top 30% of schools.   Our progress score was +0.24.

In 2019 the Attainment 8 score for students at The Latimer Arts College was 50.4 points.  This was above the national average and local average.

In 2019, The Latimer Arts College also saw an improvement in the pass rate at English and Maths strong pass (5+) and English and Maths 4+ (standard pass) compared to 2018.

At the end of their Key Stage 4 studies, in 2019 students achieved:

More than just a number!

We also pride ourselves in supporting our students to become the best that they can be in all aspects of their life; and as a College, we want to be the best that we can be in delivering this.  Here are just some of the things that we are the best at:

  • Our enrichment programme, and in particular our Performing Arts provision, is outstanding;
  • We enter more sporting competitions and leagues that any other school in the local area;
  • We achieved the Young Carers in School bronze award for our work with young people;
  • We have received Silver Accreditation for our Anti- Bullying work;
  • Last year we raised over £5,000 for charity.

We invite you to browse our website to see more of our many, many successes.

Please note that we are full in all year groups. Please note that we were over-subscribed for admissions for September 2020.
