Business and Community Links
Our role is to equip students with the skills and knowledge that they need to make informed decisions at key points in their school lives, and ultimately to prepare them for the world of work.
We want to encourage all students to set their sights high and broaden their ambitions through our Future Me Careers Programme, which will enrich this process through a diverse range of events, speakers, mentoring, visits and workplace experiences.
We want to inspire students to raise their aspirations, broaden their horizons and strive for excellence from the moment they come to The Latimer Arts College.
As part of our commitment to help our students take confident steps toward their future careers, in December 2025, we hosted our first employer networking event with teaching staff. This was a valuable opportunity to strengthen collaboration between education and industry. By bringing employers and teachers together, we opened the door to meaningful connections that will support our students’ future pathways.
These conversations help align classroom learning with real-world skills, create new contacts for ongoing partnership, and unlock opportunities such as work experience, mentoring, guest speaking, and career insights.
Please see below our video that showcases our collaboration.
