Pathway Choices

Pathway Choices:

We are delighted with the broad pathway choices that we are able to offer our Sixth Form students, with a wide range of subjects on offer that meet the requirements of the 16-19 Study Programme.

  • In September 2022, we introduced Criminology and Politics, to further enhance the choices that our students have. In 2023, we extended our provision further by introducing English Language, Information Technology (BTEC), Performing Arts (BTEC) and Product Design. In 2025 we further extended our offer to include Level 3 Health and Social Care (BTEC) to our 2025 curriculum.
  • Our pathway choices allow our students to follow a range of specialist pathways including the Performing ArtsSocial Sciences and the popular STEM route.
  • We also offer Further Maths and the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) to enrich the offering for those students who wish to study additional qualifications.
  • All students are encouraged to undertake work experience opportunities.
  • We offer a dedicated enrichment afternoon, where students have a choice of a range of activities that include: Health and Well-being activities, including a range of non-competitive sporting events; completing Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs); attending presentations from a range of outside speakers from the world of work; and developing life skills, such as cookery, basic car maintenance and budgeting!
  • We have also offered the Duke of Edinburgh Award to our Year 12 from September 2023 and this continues to be a popular option.

Details of our full curriculum offer and more information about our wider Sixth Form provision can be viewed                in our Sixth Form Prospectus and Course Guide.
