After yet again another outstanding delivery of performances and compositions from our wonderful musicians, I am very proud to announce the winners of this year’s School of Rock competition. We enjoyed fantastic performances from year 7s and 8s in the first half of this year Latimer’s School of Rock. These young performers competed to win a KS3 performance prize. They are all fantastic winners for being so brave and performing to such a large audience. The winning group was our lovely duet “Acapella” (Abby Golding and Kira Pearson). “The Band” (Tom Althorpe, Megan Linnell, Oleg Goloveckis, Theo Birch and Evan Bridgestock) – Won the composition prize for their fantastic Funk composition. However, their performances were also fabulously funky! Finally, this year’s winners are “ Jodie and The Diamond” (Jodie and Kade Purbrick), they were absolutely amazing and performed with such emotion and musicality, it was impossible for them not to win. Congratulations to all who participated. You rock! 
