On Wednesday 18th December year 11 GCSE History students braved the cold and wind to visit the Imperial War Museum at Duxford. As part of the preparation for their GCSE studies on the impact of war students participated in an interactive talk on the homefront during WW2. They got to handle artefacts at the time, even sounding the air raid siren and learning how to dispose of an incendiary device. Students commented that they found the day enjoyable and purposeful.
