Advice, Do's and Don'ts

3) Ensure that you attempt a variety of each question type | 3) Just choose the quickest questions |
4) Time how long you are spending on them. Are you actively working for an hour, are they taking longer than they should? | 4) Move on too soon if you don't understand something |
5) Mark your answers from the back of the book and ensure that you understand any corrections required | 5) Forget to look at the worked examples in the text book |
6) Seek help for anything that you are still struggling with | 6) Copy answers out the back of the book! |
7) Attempt the problem solving questions but don't spend too long on them, time might be better spent elsewhere | 7) Leave everything in the calculator and just write down answers |
8) Show full methods and set work out properly | 8) Get too stressed over the same questions, but do seek help with them |
9) Use the correct notation and language | 9) Forget to look back at the notes and examples from your lessons |
